Subject: Written Verification of Stress Relief
| The Boeing Company has put the metal finishing industry on notice. Boeing requires our customers to provide written notification that proper stress relief has occurred prior to plating. If such information is not supplied with every job, we are required to obtain such, in writing, or put the job on hold until this information is provided. | |
This can have an impact on parts movement! Please realize this is a requirement already in BAC specifications (reference paragraph 8.5 of BAC 5440) |
